Emotional Services
Our emotional needs drive our every action whether we realize it or not. The expression of positive emotions is difficult for children, adolescents and adults experiencing the turmoil and frustration of substance abuse, undiagnosed attention or learning disorders, or untreated medical, emotional or psychological disorders.
Too often today, patients are given only the medication or tools they need to mask the symptoms or negative behaviors that are disrupting their lives. AFHC’s Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Social Worker, and our Licensed Professional Counselor provide counseling and therapy to identify the root causes that trigger symptoms and negative behaviors, and helps each patient recognize their own specific assets and strengths that will help them navigate both their challenges and their life.
Time and time again, AFHC has found that patients who receive this comprehensive approach are better-equipped to achieve personal success and satisfaction in the five major performance areas of life: medical, emotional, educational, vocational and social.
